Amazon Kindle Review

How many of us have seen a Kindle? Have you held it in your hands? Have you felt the uncomfortable cutoff corners? Have you experienced the lack of wireless service in your area?

After reading the Kindle Reviews on the official Amazon site, I am a bit perplexed. The whole idea of a review begins with owning the device. Sure reviews are opinions, but the no one wants to hear my opinion on the latest Mercedes, since I know nothing of the car. With that said, I own a Kindle.

When the Kindle arrived, the packaging seemed apropos. The thick bookset look and feel to it, and, inside, the Kindle swathed in gentle coverings. I opened it up, found the AC adapter, plugged in, and turned on the device. In an instant, I was greeted by the Amazon Kindle logo and the screen flashes to the Home Screen. On the home screen, all the book samples, magazines trials, and a letter of Jeff Bezos sit. I quickly try out the little scroll wheel, dancing it up and down the available books. It works well. I’m actually surprised.

Flash forward five weeks. I’ve had the Kindle now for a while. I have read a total of four full length novels on the Kindle. What I can’t get over is just how quickly I read on this thing. I’m not burdened by thinking about the length of a book. I really just read each book for its story. I did start and stop reading one book on the Kindle. It was something I did all the time with print books but I seemed to get into the Kindle so much easier.
